Thankfully, I am not prone to migraines. I am not even prone to headaches. But I did keep in mind a natural migraine treatment a breastfeeding lactivist shared with us last year. That is, put an ice pack or cold compress on your head then dip your feet in warm water.
The opposing temperatures will supposedly work to restore balance your body lacks, which is basically what is causing the migraine. It can be stress, monthly period or other illness that is causing the hormonal imbalance resulting in your throbbing headache.
Drinking hot tea or any warm citrus drink will also help.
The best thing about this treatment is its very doable without side effects. Just make sure you test the water first to make sure your feet won't get scalded.
