Some people may fool themselves into saying that regular lack of sleep at least results in quick weight loss but at what price?
Just your health and sanity, that is.
According to WebMD, sleep depriation results in any or all of the following:
~ Decreased Performance and Alertness
~ Memory and Cognitive Impairment
~ Stress Relationships
~ Poor Quality of Life
~ Occupational Injury
~ Automobile Injury
~ Clinical problems such as High blood pressure, Heart attack, Heart failure, Stroke
Obesity, Psychiatric problems, including depression and other mood disorders and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)
How often is it that we say that it's the stresses of day-to-day living, our everyday problems, that are causing us to lose sleep? And nobody will argue that these stressors do not warrant all the thinking time they can get. BUT as Albert Eienstein said, "No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it."
So sleep. Your body needs it.
